It’s important to combine cardiovascular exercise with muscle strengthening. The cardiovascular system transports oxygen and removes waste products to and from every organ of the body. A cardio workout makes this process more efficient, raising your metabolic rate and burning body fat both during and after exercise.
Walking raises cardio activity to 40-60% of maximum heart rate (MHR). But by exercising with one of The Club’s cardio fitness machines you can raise that to 70-80% of MHR, leading to better overall health and faster reduction of body fat.
Training for muscle strength makes you look and feel fitter, and is excellent for getting rid of middle-aged spread. Posture, endurance and resistance to fatigue are all improved; and stronger abs usually means goodbye to back pain.
