The benefits of regular exercise are well known – and joining The Club puts them all within easy reach. Regular cardiovascular and muscle-toning exercise will:

  • Improve your general health and resistance to infection
  • Slow down the aging process by strengthening muscles
  • Increasing bone density and reducing body fat
  • Improve mood by releasing endorphins into the bloodstream
  • Enhance self-confidence, self-image and self-esteem and it will show

It’s important to combine cardiovascular exercise with muscle strengthening. The cardiovascular system transports oxygen and removes waste products to and from every organ of the body. A cardio workout makes this process more efficient, raising your metabolic rate and burning body fat both during and after exercise.

Walking raises cardio activity to 40-60% of maximum heart rate (MHR). But by exercising with one of The Club’s cardio fitness machines you can raise that to 70-80% of MHR, leading to better overall health and faster reduction of body fat.

Training for muscle strength makes you look and feel fitter, and is excellent for getting rid of middle-aged spread. Posture, endurance and resistance to fatigue are all improved; and stronger abs usually means goodbye to back pain.
