Scott is an experienced sports competitor who works with clients facing a range of sport-specific challenges as well as with people of all ages who simply want to keep fit. His forté, however, is middle distance and cross-country running: Scott is a former Edinburgh under-20s number one in road and cross-country, and has represented Scotland at cross-country. This experience is particularly valuable for clients who are themselves engaged in competitive sport.
Scott holds a Diploma in Sports Coaching with Sports Development, together with other fitness, health and nutrition qualifications. Within two years of leaving college he had progressed to being fitness manager at the Edinburgh Club and now has more than 15 years’ experience in the fitness industry.
"I am passionate about the part fitness plays in our daily lives," says Scott. "It’s a source of great satisfaction to see how, in quite a short space of time, people’s lives can be transformed by being more active, making perhaps small changes to their diet and getting fitter and stronger. One-to-one training is an excellent way to help people achieve their fitness goals. With a personal trainer at their side, and on hand to advise over the telephone when needed, clients are enabled both to push themselves that little bit harder but also to work more intelligently, so that they get more out of every gym session, and more out of life."
