  • Do you find it difficult to commit to regular exercise?
  • Do you feel you could work harder when you come to the gym?
  • Do you feel you never achieve your desired results?
  • Do you really want to achieve those desired results?

If you answer YES to any of these questions, then personal training can help you. There are countless benefits to personal training, and many different reasons why you would want a trainer. Maybe you need a personal appointment to you to the gym, or to be pushed harder when you get there. If so, speak to George, Pauline, Scott or Maureen soon, to see how personal training can help YOU.

How often should I have personal Training?

Once a week is enough. It gives your trainer the opportunity to encourage you, monitor your progress and keep you focused. You can work on your programme alone during other sessions: we recommend another one or two gym visits a week, depending on your goals and your other commitments.

BMI (Body Mass Index) is a nifty little tool that calculates the ratio between your weight and height, supplying you with a healthy weight range to measure yourself against.

Medical research recommends a BMI between 20 and 25 for optimum health. The World Health Organisation classifies a BMI of 25 to 30 as overweight, and over 30 as obese.

BMI is a rough guide only. It has limitations in that it cannot distinguish between weight associated with fat or muscle. In other words, it does not take into account body type. For a more comprehensive body composition analysis, contact a member of staff at The Club. Use the tool below to calculate your BMI.
