
Maureen has more than 20 years’ experience as a personal trainer. She holds a bachelor degree in education and both bachelor and masters degrees in physical education, and is also a qualified naturopathic nutritional therapist. Born and raised in Canada, Maureen competed in volleyball at university and taught in high school as phys-ed teacher, athletic coach and athletic director. Now favouring Tabata, TRX, Kettlebells and free weights, Maureen trains groups, pairs and individuals, and has developed successful programmes for weight loss and healthy lifestyle management for clients aged 40-plus.
‘I work with brides-to-be, expectant moms and anyone aiming for weight loss, as well as with sport-specific training, marathon training, outdoor pre-work training and post-cancer / post-injury rehab. I encourage my clients to challenge themselves. We all function better and feel better with a balanced, healthy diet and an active lifestyle; my philosophy is preventative action for successful living as we age.’
