Living life to the full with Edinburgh’s Gym of the Year 2020
It is encouraging to report that members have been coming back to the gym in greater numbers over the past month. But we are still not at full capacity.
Our risk assessment allows for 10 to 12 people, including personal trainers, to use the gym any one time, and we reach this number only at the busiest times. There’s also extra space to train in the studio while classes are suspended.
So if you haven’t been back to the gym since full lockdown ended, maybe now is the time to come and see for yourself how we’ve made The Club a safe place for you to exercise. The fact that no Covid cases have been reported among Club members gives added reassurance. And even though it’s not mandatory in gyms, you can always wear a mask if you feel this gives you extra protection.
Exercising during these stressful, socially restricted times is one of the very best ways to protect our physical and mental health. That’s why we’re doing our utmost to make it possible for you to stay fit and keep active. Come and see our new set-up for yourself, and restart your gym routine in safety.
Sunday opening
Sundays have been sparsely attended since we reopened, with member visits down to one or even zero. As a result we’ve decide to temporarily close on Sundays with effect from 15th November. We’ll reinstate Sunday opening in the New Year, when Sundays have traditionally proved popular.
Look out for:
Our Christmas opening hours will be published on 1 December along with our very first Christmas Quiz. Win a bottle of champagne and help us support Funny Lumps, the charity supporting kids with neurofibromatosis, one of the most common but least known genetic conditions affecting children.
