Personal Trainer Gill Penfold is once again organising a team to take part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, to be held on 23-24 May. Team Funny Lumps will run in support of children and families living with neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder that causes tumours to form on nerve tissue.
The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is the UK’s second-largest. It follows a scenic route around the city and along the East Lothian coastline and was voted the UK’s fastest marathon by Runner’s World.
You can choose to run 5K, 10K, a half or full marathon, so whatever your level, Team Funny Lumps is a great group to join. In Gill’s first year she recruited 17 runners. Last year it was 72, and this year’s target is to break 100.
Team training events led by Davina, Maureen, Colleen and Gill will help runners prepare, and of course, Members can sponsor them.
